About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our tech team in Dubai. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong foundation in data science, machine learning, and AI. The successful candidate will work on developing advanced analytical models and leveraging data to drive business solutions and enhance operational efficiency in the mining industry.
Key Responsibilities
Data Collection and Cleaning: Gather and preprocess data from various sources to ensure data quality and consistency.
Exploratory Data Analysis: Perform detailed exploratory data analysis to uncover insights and patterns.
Model Development: Develop, test, and deploy machine learning models and AI algorithms to solve complex business problems.
Predictive Analytics: Create predictive models to forecast trends and support strategic decision-making.
Big Data Technologies: Utilize big data tools and technologies to handle and analyze large datasets efficiently.
Tool Utilization: Proficiently use tools such as Python, R, SQL, Hadoop, Spark, and Tableau for data analysis and visualization.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, product managers, and domain experts, to integrate data-driven solutions into our products.
Reporting: Present findings and insights through comprehensive reports and data visualizations to stakeholders, providing actionable recommendations.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in data science, machine learning, and AI to continually improve our methodologies and solutions.
Requirements
Educational Background: Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Programming Languages: Proficiency in Python and R for data analysis, modeling, and machine learning.
Database Management: Strong knowledge of SQL for data manipulation and querying.
Big Data Technologies: Experience with Hadoop, Spark, and other big data technologies.
Machine Learning Frameworks: Proficiency in machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras, Scikit-Learn, and PyTorch.
Data Visualization: Expertise in using data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, and Matplotlib.
Statistical Analysis: Strong background in statistical analysis and methodologies.
Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Industry Knowledge: Experience in the mining industry or a related field is highly desirable but not mandatory.
